Pros:

Unlock all the bells and whistles you could hope for with the Vitamix Professional Series 300. After seeing videos on Youtube of people that blend entire bushels of fruit and baskets of vegetables, I always wondered how that was possible. The secret is simple, the Vitamix blends just about anything. Ice, fruit, seeds, and vegetables will all equally blend into whatever liquid I so desire.

With a 2 Horsepower motor, this blender will liquify anything and everything it comes into contact with. There is a reason restaurants and juice bars choose to use Vitamix Blenders in their kitchens. High powered blenders also means fruits and vegetables blend quickly. Don't stand around for minutes blending and jostling the ingredients around in the blender. Just ensure enough liquid is in the blender and everything will blend quickly.

Only with a Vitamix Blender can I make perfect smoothies and hot soups. Blenders like the Nutri Bullet, Ninja Blenders, and Oster Blenders will not make perfect smoothies. Even the hardest of ingredients to blend like chia seeds and raspberry seeds turn into a liquid. Furthermore, no low-end blender on the market can make a hot soup. With the Vitamix Pro Series 300, I simply load my soup ingredients into the blender container, seal the blending container, and leave the blender for about six minutes blending on an automatic blending setting.

Quality of Vitamix Blenders just amaze me. Vitamix Pro Series 300 comes with some of the greatest features I have seen in Vitamix Blenders. With this blender, you will get: a blending base, 64 oz blending container, and a 200 + recipe book.  Below I will list what I like about each feature:

Blending Base

• One word, Attractive. Choose between a sharp looking onyx or a vibrant ruby color. Ten different speed settings allow for great customization in the blending consistency. Also included is a pulse setting for quick blending jobs. The blending base itself is quite compact and will easily fit under a counter. 

 Blending Container

• Vitamix continues to innovate with their blending containers. With such a sleek design, this blending container actually may be more attractive than the blending base. The BPA-Free Plastic of this container can hold up to 64 oz of liquid, and also has a measure on the side of the container. Stainless steel blending blades are attached to the bottom of this blender with a sturdy metal turbine. 

Recipe Book 

• Just a great freebie. The recipe book itself is hardcover and includes beautiful full color photos. You may or may not actually use recipe books, which is no big deal with blenders. None the less, the measurements in this book make it easy to build your own recipes quickly.

Cleanup of this Vitamix Professional Series 300 goes by so quickly. After emptying the blending container of its contents, fill the blending container about a third of the way and add a few drops of dish soap. Place the blending container on the blender base and pulse a few times. Rinse out in the sink and your blender will be fine. Alternatively, Vitamix blender containers clean up beautifully in the dish washer on the bottom rack.

Cons:

Some life long Vitamix users do not like the wider mouth blending containers. Traditionally, Vitamix containers measure tall rather than wide for 64 oz models. With the Vitamix Professional Series 300 Blender you are going to get the wide mouth container. Personally, I do not mind the wide mouth style and find it to be more useful than the vertical style models.

While this the Vitamix Pro Series 300 will blend on its own and does not require constant monitoring, this blender lacks automated functions. Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blenders do come with automated functions for making smoothies, soups, and icy drinks. The VItamix 300 still includes plenty of variation with ten possible speeds, but it requires a bit more supervision.

Vitamix Pro Series 300 vs NutriBullet 900

Price:

• At nearly $400 more the Vitamix will cost you a pretty penny. Plenty of extra features and upgrades come with the Vitamix, but it really is a huge price difference compared to the NutriBullet. What should ultimately be taken into consideration is whether or not you would want to buy a single blender for the rest of your life. With the NutriBullet, it is likely that your blender will break within the next five years. Vitamix comes with a Seven Year Warranty, and should last even longer than those seven years.

 Design:

• Vitamix just outshines in every conceivable way when it comes to design. Nutri Bullet Blenders are smaller and more compact than the Vitamix, but that is a small concession. With the Vitamix, you will get a sleek looking blender made with the highest quality materials you could ask for. Of particular attention, the blender blades on the Vitamix Professional Series 300 are heavy duty and durable, the Nutri Bullet blades are flimsy in comparison.

 Functions

• Vitamix allows for variable blending speeds and automatic blending. With the Nutri Bullet 900, you will be limited to pulse blending out of fear of burning out a blending motor. The Vitamix will be able to blend more difficult tasks like super icy drinks, seeds. and dips. Not to mention that the Vitamix can make soups, where the Nutri Bullet can not even come close to making a passable soup.

Overall

• Even though the Nutri Bullet Pro 900 Series is almost $400 cheaper, its features and design lack so much compared to the Vitamix. With the potential of lasting nearly an entire lifetime, the Vitamix Professional Series 300 will offer a better bang for the buck. Upgrading from something like the Nutri Bullet to the Vitamix will be a day you never forget.

Value for Money?

The Vitamix Professional Series 300 is one of the best blenders currently on the market. With one of the most powerful blender motors around, the Vitamix can handle any blending job you can think of. Furthermore, the Vitamix 300 offers something new to the whole situation with its wide mouth blending container. While the price point may be high, the value and satisfaction this blender will offer over an entire life is priceless. Overall, I give the Vitamix Professional Series 300 a total of 5/5 stars.
