Best Review of Nutri Ninja Auto iQ (BL482)

Review: Nutri Ninja Auto iQ (BL482)
  • After reviewing the Nutri Ninja Blender, I was eager to see what the Ninja Company would come out with next. I mean, the Nutri Ninja was an amazing blender: it was powerful, affordable, and compact. How could the Ninja Company ever one up this machine?
    • Well, the Nutri Ninja Auto iQ attempts to do just that. It offers all the great features of the Nutri Ninja Blender, but with the added bonus of Auto iQ technology. Below I run through my thoughts on the Nutri Ninja Auto iQ. The prime question in my head is this, is the Nutri Ninja Auto iQ worth the extra cash?

Pros:
  • A Family Blender.
    • As weird as it seems, decent blenders made for the whole family are getting harder and harder to find. Now we have blenders designed for fitness lovers, blenders for dieters, blenders for raw vegans, blenders for chefs. How about a blender for a family? The Nutri Ninja Auto iQ will well suit your family with its easy to use functions, powerful motor, affordable price, and multiple blending cups.
  • A Powerful Motor + Well Designed Blades = Success
    • Plenty of blenders out there have powerful motors, but are limited in their blending ability by poor blade design. With the Nutri Ninja series of blenders, you'll find the best blades and blade design the Ninja Blending Company has yet released. The combination of a 1000 Watt motor spinning maximum efficiency blades leaves you with nearly flawless results for just about anything you could think to blend.
  •  Auto iQ Simplifies Everything
    • We all mess up in the kitchen. It may be burning the bread in the oven, it could be making too liquidy of a hummus, or it could be making a chunky smoothie. The Nutri Ninja's Auto iQ technology removes that 'human error' problem from the blending process. Just hit one of the two automated blending functions, and you'll be good to go. At the end of the blending process, your smoothie should be the perfect consistency.
    • Blend & Send: On-the-Go Blending Cups
      • If you need to blend for a family or a spouse, you absolutely need multiple blending cups. Ninja provides 3 different sized blending cups with this unit: a small 12oz cup, a regular 24oz cup, and a jumbo 32oz cup. Each of these blending cups can be loaded with your favorite fruits and ice, locked onto the Nutri Ninja blending base, blended up, and then be ready to go as a portable smoothie holder. No pouring and multi-step cleanup needed.
    • One of the Easiest Blenders to Clean
      • One of the things I hate about the Vitamix Blender is how difficult the blending pitcher is to clean. Since it is so large, I have to scrape every little nook and cranny to get it all cleaned up. The compact size of the Nutri Ninja Blending Cups makes cleanup so much faster and more efficient. Just add a bit of warm water and dish soap after you finish drinking your smoothie, pulse it a few times on the blending base, and rinse out. You're done. If you would like to use the dishwasher, no problem, the blending cups and blending blades are dishwasher safe.
    Cons:
    • A Noisy Little Machine
      • Be prepared for the noise. Honestly, I don't think this blender is all that much louder than most high powered blenders on the market. However, many people are surprised that this small of a machine can get as loud as it does. Avoid blending at the crack of dawn and you should be fine.
    • Sturdiness
      • The Ninja BL482 loses a few points in my book due to its build quality. First, the machine rattles a bit on the counter while blending. To fix this, a rubber placemat is needed. Secondly, the plastic this blender is made out of feels a little on the 'cheap' side. Even if it may fall short of my standards, it carries out its sole job of blending exceptionally well.
Tips and Tricks of: Nutri Ninja Auto iQ

    Purchasing:
    • Amazon.com will provide the most convenient way to buy this blender for many. If you have Prime Membership, Amazon will deliver the Nutri Ninja to your doorstep in less than three days of ordering. Problem is, the price of the Nutri Ninja can swing up and down.
    • Bed Bath & Beyond is another solid choice for anyone looking for the Nutri Ninja BL482 model. Pricing stays solid at BB&B, so expect to pay $120 when buying from them.
    • If you are willing to settle for a Nutri Ninja Auto iQ BL481 model, Walmart.com is a great place to pick it up. For only $110 you can snap up this powerful little blender. Keep in mind though, the BL481 model comes with one less blending cup than the BL482 model.
    Operating:

    • Don't Overpack Your Small Containers. Even if it seems like a good idea to pack as much nutritiously bountiful fruits as possible, leave a little free space. Last thing you want is mess on your hands that takes five minutes to fix.
    • Be Sure to Use Water while Blending. Almost all smoothies need liquid in order to blend. Ice actually needs liquid water to turn into a nice smoothie consistency. Plenty of recipes exist online, but the best way to get a proper consistency is experimentation.
    Maintenance and Cleaning:
    • Rely on Rinsing and Blending for Most Cleaning. After finishing up your smoothie, do a quick rinse out in the sink, add warm soapy water to the blending container, and run the pulse setting a few times. Rinse out once again in the sink and leave the blender to dry. Your blender will be all clean after that.
    • Use Dishwasher Once a Week for thorough Cleaning. Using the dishwasher for every cleanup of the Nutri Ninja is overkill. Nothing is more frustrating than realizing your blender is messy in the morning because you haven't yet ran the dishwasher. Weekly cleanings in the dishwasher will keep everything spick and span, but anymore than that is too much.
    • The Nutri Ninja Auto iQ comes with a One Year Limited Warranty. Ninja's policy towards returns is not ideal, you may have to pay shipping charges for returns. Feel confident when buying though, Ninja products hold up much better than similar blender models (Nutribullet).

    Value for Money?
    • The Nutri Ninja Auto iQ BL482 is a solid blender for anyone needing a sub-$150 machine. 1000 Watts of blending power packs a punch, and you'll be able to blend ice and fruit into a thick smoothie consistency in a matter of seconds. While there are a few downsides to this blender, the positives far outweigh its faults. If you need a blender to make smoothies for an entire family, I would highly recommend the Nutri Ninja Auto iQ. Overall, the Nutri Ninja Auto iQ receives 4 out of 5 stars.

Nutri Ninja Blender Duo with Auto-iQ (BL642)

Product Review: Nutri Ninja Blender Duo

    Price Range: $200-$225

    Features:
    • 1500 Watt Blending Motor
    • Preset Blending Functions to Automate Your Kitchen
    • 72 oz Blending Pitcher and On-the-Go Blending Cup
    • Recipe Books for Smoothies and Other Healthy Foods
    140 Character Summary:
Is the Nutri Ninja Duo superior to the Nutri Ninja Pro? Not really, while it may be more powerful, the higher price is not justified.
    Pros:
    1. Power. The Nutri Ninja Blender Duo comes with a 1500 Watt motor, making it the most powerful blender in the Nutri Ninja Series. The Nutri Ninja Pro only has 900 Watts of Power in comparison. With all this power, you are going to be able to blend faster and more thoroughly than the lower-powered Ninja blenders.
    2. Auto-iQ. Make Smoothies and Puree with No Effort. Essentially, the Ninja Auto-iQ Technology works best as an automated smoothie making machine. The puree function is nifty, but you may prefer more precision while pureeing. When blending, the blender will tell you how much time remains until the blending function finishes.
    3. Blending Cups & Pitcher. The great On-the-Go Blending Pitcher is included with this set, and is the single best blending pitcher. You'll also find a 72 oz Blending Pitcher as well, to handle your larger blending needs like bean dips, icy drinks for parties, and bread doughs.
    4. Speed and Simplicity. Blending has become even more simple with the Nutri Ninja Duo, thanks to the onboard computer and timing function. While Ninja includes a recipe book, you'll be more than free to customize recipes all on your own. When using preset functions, just load your blending pitcher up and hit the button; in less than a minute your blender will have completed the cycle.
    5. Smoothies. Even though this blender comes with a 72 oz Blending Pitcher, this blender excels as a single serve smoothie machine. If you love to make smoothies bright and early in the morning, you'll definitely find the Nutri Ninja Duo an upgrade over almost all sub-$100 machines. Its power and smoothie function will liquify your fruits and ice to a great consistency in no time flat.
    6. Easy Cleanup. All blending pitchers, cups, and blending blade are dishwasher safe. Just rinse off your blender pitcher and blending blades in the sink after blending, and throw them in the dishwasher. Be careful around those blending blades; they are sharp and can nick you while removing them.
    Cons:
    1. Blending Base. There are a few flaws with this blending base. First and foremost, it is heavy, but still feels somehow cheap. Part of this is due to the fact the suction cups have to be used to secure the blender, even though it is already so heavy. Secondly, the metallic finish of the blender functions will smudge easily, which will annoy you, just give it time.
    2. Price. Costing $200 or more, the Nutri Ninja Blender Duo is truly not meant as introductory model. It sits in an awkward place, on the one hand, the Nutri Ninja Pro costs less than $90, and can make smoothies nearly as well as the Nutri Ninja Duo. At the other end of the spectrum, a Vitamix Blender can be purchased for near $300, and will serve you far better than the Ninja.
    3. Large Blending Pitcher. You're going to run into some unfortunate realities with the large Ninja Pitcher. First of all, it doesn't create a real vortex while blending, this means you will never get a 100% perfect blend when handling drier things like nut butters or bean dips. Secondly, its overall quality leaves a bit to be desired, the plastic build of it just feels somewhat lower quality than what you should be getting from a $200 blender.
    4. Blades. If you're familiar with the Ninja upright blade system, you'll find it once again in the Nutri Ninja Duo. These blades have two major faults in my opinion: they're removable and layered. Since these blades are removable, you'll need to remove them while cleaning which is dangerous. Along with that, it is entirely possible that the blades may fall out while pouring a beverage with the lid off. Secondly, these blades just don't have the proper design to deliver a perfect or even 85%+ blend.
    5. Lifespan. Perhaps this blender will last for a long time, but I have my doubts. The Ninja Company constantly pushes out new blender models, never quite perfecting and relying upon a standard issue. Following this line of thought, the warranty policy of the Ninja Company leaves a bit to be desired, especially compared to how Vitamix handles issues. Expect your larger pitcher and large blending blades to wear out, they have in previous blender models, so they will as they are the same recycled designed in the Nutri Ninja Duo.
    6. Unfortunately, the other Ninja Autp-iQ functions don't make a whole lot of sense, pulse is self explanatory, but the 'Nutri Ninja Blend' and 'Nutri Ninja Ultra Blend' will leave you with questions. Thankfully, Ninja included a 'Low', 'Medium', and 'High' setting for this blender.
Nutri Ninja Duo vs. Nutri Ninja Pro

    Price:

    • More than $100 separates these two blenders. What exactly does all this extra money buy? Not much. First and foremost, the quality of smoothies made in the lower priced Nutri Ninja Pro will come out almost as good as the more powerful Nutri Ninja Duo. As an upgrade you'll find an underwhelming 72 oz blending pitcher and the Auto-iQ Technology.
    Design:
    • Nutri Ninja Duo: The Nutri Ninja Duo suffers from having too many features. At the end of the day, the 72 oz blending pitcher just isn't good enough to justify a $200 price tag. Now, the on-the-go blending pitcher is the exact same as the Nutri Ninja Pro's, which is a good thing. However, Auto-iQ really is not that big of a deal as a more inexpensive Auto-iQ Ninja exists.
    • Nutri Ninja Pro: If you need a compact blender, go with the Nutri Ninja Pro. In an age of bulky blenders with tons of add-ons, a small and efficient blender is a relief for many of us. Blending is a simple affair, just pulse your smoothies until they're done.
    Best for Whom?:
    • Nutri Ninja Duo: 1. Multi-Taskers. The ease of just pressing a button and walking off to do other tasks is nice. 2. Multi-Purpose Users. If you need to make both smoothies and all sorts of other blended food, the Nutri Ninja Duo will better suit you. 3. Ninja Fans. The Nutri Ninja Duo does offer a few new cool features, namely the interface of the control panel and Auto-iQ.
    • Nutri Ninja Pro: 1. Beginning-Mid Range Blender Fans. The Nutri Ninja is so simple a complete blending newbie could use it. 2. Price Conscious. At under $100, this blender is a great bargain for its powerful punch. 3. Smoothie Lovers. One of the most ideal blenders for smoothie lovers out there wanting to spend less than $300.
    Overall:
    • You will end up happiest by purchasing the more affordable Nutri Ninja. Assuming you're on the market for a mid-range blender upgrade, the Nutri Ninja will well suit your needs if you're mainly a smoothie maker. Now, if you absolutely need a large blending pitcher as well, the Nutri Ninja Duo is a fine blender to consider.

    Value for Money?
    • Unfortunately the Nutri Ninja Duo is not the best deal in the world for those out there wanting a blender primarily for smoothie making purposes. Compared to the much more affordable Nutri Ninja Pro, the features of the Nutri Ninja Duo just can't justify themselves for smoothie making alone. Now, if you are on the market for a smoothie maker and general use machine, the Nutri Ninja Duo will do an adequate job meeting those needs. Overall, the Nutri Ninja Duo receives a total of 3/5 stars.

Best Place to Buy the Nutri Ninja Pro

Where is the Best Place to Buy the Nutri Ninja?

The results are in, the Nutri Ninja Pro is now the best performing blender under the $100 price range. But finding this blender at the store can not be easy. Oftentimes my local big box stores are sold out of the Nutri Ninja. If you have had any trouble finding the Nutri Ninja Pro, read below as I go over the best options I have so far come across.

    Choice #1: Walmart
    • Out of all the stores selling the Nutri Ninja Pro, you will get the best deal from Walmart. Now, it may have just been a one time only Winter holiday sale, but I have come across Nutri Ninja Pro's at Walmart being sold as low of a price as $79.99. If anything goes wrong with your Nutri Ninja in the first few days, you can always take it right beck to Walmart as long as you keep your receipt. For savings, instant gratification, and ease, I recommend Walmart as the first place to check for the Nutri Ninja.

    Choice #2: Amazon.com

    • If you are not lucky enough to find a low priced Nutri Ninja at your local Walmart, then I would recommend shopping at Amazon.com. Only one downside exists for Amazon.com, and that is that occasionally Third Party Merchants will be the only sellers of the blender, and will charge a slight markup (no more than $10). Amazon will ship the blender right to your door free of charge in two days; what more needs to be said? Even better, Amazon will guarantee your product longer than just about anyone else should anything break.
    Choice #3: Walmart.com
    • I only recommend Walmart.com with hesitation. The price for the Nutri Ninja from Walmart.com will not be as great as what you may find in the store ($79 vs $89). As a plus, you will get free shipping with your purchase. As a downside, it is not Amazon.com.
Choice #4: Target - Bed, Bath, & Beyond
    •  Is Walmart out of stock and you don't want to shop online? Then go with Target or Bed, Bath, & Beyond. From what I have gathered, you'll end up having to spend $99 to get the Nutri Ninja from these stores though! Sadly, no secret deal for the Nutri Ninja seems to exist at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. If you have coupons, use them.
    Choice #5: Everyone Else
    •  After Walmart and Amazon, I pretty much would lump everyone else together. If you want savings and a reliable return policy, neither Walmart nor Amazon can be beaten. You'll end up paying over $89.99 from any other retailer as well, which is a major downside.
    Conclusion:
    • Check your local Walmart first and foremost. If your Walmart is sold out or simply doesn't carry the Nutri Ninja, then go with Amazon.com. All other retail options outside of these top two choices seem to have their own downfalls (price, return policy, shipping), so I would not recommend as the ideal candidate.

Nutri Ninja Pro vs NutriBullet Rx Comparison

Nutri Ninja Pro vs NutriBullet Rx
     Price:
    • Nutri Ninja: You will save over $100 by going with the Nuri Ninja Blender. Even with a price tag near $80, the Nutri Ninja will surprise you with its quality build and blending ability. Now, you are going to lose out on a few of the features of the NutriBullet Rx, namely a less powerful motor comes with the Ninja,
    • NutriBullet Rx: Costing nearly $200, the NutriBullet Rx is a significant price upgrade from the Nutri Ninja. What warrants the price bump? A motor that is almost twice as powerful is the chief difference between these two blenders. Is the price difference justified? No, the Nutri Ninja blends nearly as well as the NutriBullet Rx.
    Power:
    • Nutri Ninja: While the Nutri Ninja is less powerful than the NutriBullet Rx (900 Watts vs 1700 Watts), the blend quality between the two blenders is quite close. Rest confident that the 900 Watts of the Nutri Ninja will be more than enough for most blending tasks.
    • NutriBullet Rx: 1700 Watts of Power is a big punch in a small blender. Looking purely at motor power alone, you may think that the NutriBullet Rx blows the Nutri Ninja out of the water when it comes to blending smoothies, that is not so though. Power is not everything in the world of blenders, and the NutriBullet Rx drops the ball due to blade design.
    Design:
    • Nutri Ninja: With the Nutri Ninja, you will be limited to just blending single serve smoothies. If that what you want from the blender, then great, the Nutri Ninja gets the job done better than most blenders. Looks wise, the Nutri Ninja is fairly attractive and is fine to leave on a kitchen countertop when company is over.
    • NutriBullet Rx: This is where the NutriBullet Rx fails. While it has a powerful motor, the NutriBullet Rx is still using a blade design meant more for its weaker powered little brother, the MagicBullet. Along with weak blades, the NutriBullet Rx has widely reported design flaws that may result in a newly purchased blender breaking down in a matter of months.
    Best for Whom?:
    • Nutri Ninja: 1. Smoothie Makers. Making smoothies in the morning is so easy with the speed and convenience of the Nutri Ninja. 2. Budget Conscious Buyers. At under $100, the Nutri Ninja will deliver massive savings for those wanting a mid-range smoothie blender.
    • NutriBullet Rx: 1. Power Lovers. The most attractive feature of the NutriBullet Rx is its 1700 Watt motor. 2. NutriBullet Fans. Many long awaited features like the ability to make hot soups and large blending cups are included with the NutriBullet Rx.
    Overall:
    • Go with the Nutri Ninja. Even though it has a noticeably less powerful motor, the Nutri Ninja is not racked by design flaws. By no means is the Nutri Ninja a perfect blender, but a blender that can deliver consistently good results is superior to a blender that may break down on you.

Pros and Cons of the Nutri Ninja Blender

    Pros:

    1. Design. Compact and solidly built, you'll likely not run into any problems.
    2. Price. Under $100, a real bargain in the world of blenders considering its power.
    3. Smoothies. Fruit smoothies in the morning come out great when using this machine.
    Cons:
    1. Leafy Greens. Can't blend leafy greens entirely through, little chunks left.
    2. Blending Cup Size. Single serve cups leave you making just smoothies.

Pros and Cons of the NutriBullet Rx

    Pros:

    1. Power. 1700 Watts of power is a whole lot to have on the kitchen countertop.
    2. Hot Soup. The motor will spin the blades so fast that your liquids can steam to reach piping hot soup status.
    3. Large Blending Cups. Make more than just smoothies for yourself: bean dips, guacamole, and icy drinks for an entire party.
    Cons:
    1. Design Flaws. Read reviews before you buy, many report malfunctioning blenders.
    2. Smoothies. Even with its great power, smoothies from the NutriBullet Rx are little better than the Nutri Ninja.

Nutri Ninja Pro Blender vs Ninja Master Prep

    Price:
    • You will have to pay nearly twice as much for the Nutri Ninja over the Ninja Master Prep. Are those extra $40 worth the cost? Well, if you want a powerful blender that does a great job making smoothies, then yes the Nutri Ninja is worth the cost. For anyone to stick to a sub-$40 blender, the Ninja Master Prep makes for a good choice.
    Power:
    • The Nutri Ninja Pro Blender is more than twice as powerful than its competition. While the Ninja Master Prep is strong enough to grind ice and make decent smoothies, the Nutri Ninja blows the Ninja Master Prep out of the water. 900 Watts of Power in the Nutri Ninja will be sure to amaze.
    Design:
    • Significant differences in design exist between these two blenders by Ninja. For anyone wanting a traditional style blender, neither the Ninja Master Prep nor the Nutri Ninja will exactly please. The Ninja Master Prep stands more as a food processor that can also blend. If it came down to it, the Nutri Ninja better fulfills the role of a traditional blender.
    Functionality:
    • If you want a blender to make smoothies, go with the Nutri Ninja. Power in the Nutri Ninja and its more traditional design make for a great smoothie making machine. The Ninja Master Prep is not without its positives; if you need an appliance that can both blend and chop, the Ninja Master Prep makes for one of the best multipurpose tools in the kitchen.
    Overall:
    • While the Nutri Ninja costs more than twice as much as the Ninja Master Prep, the cost of the blender seems worth it. The 900 Watts of blending power allow for far greater blending ability. Now, if you are not looking for a blender that can liquify just about anything, the Ninja Master Prep makes for a respectable choice.

    Pros:

    • Nice Design. Compact, but suited for the task.
    • 900 Watts of Blending Power. Shred through fruits and veggies.
    • On the Go Blending. Take blending cups with you after finishing.
    Cons:
    • Price. Cost double its competition.
    • Not for Chopping/Mixing. Blending is all you will do.
    • Will Not Store as Easily. Bit more bulky.

    Pros:

    • Multipurpose Tool. Blend, chop, and mix.
    • Low Cost. Under $40 for a nice appliance.
    • Fruit Smoothies and Icy Drinks. Come out well.
    Cons:
    • Green Smoothies. Do not blend leafy greens.
    • Cleanup. Tad bit more tedious.
    • Lower Quality Blends. More likely to have chunkier blends.

Nutri Ninja Blender vs Cuisinart CSB-75BC Smart Stick 2-Speed Immersion Hand Blender

Nutri Ninja vs Cuisinart Immersion Hand Blender

    Price:
    • About $50 separates these two blenders. Now, though $50 makes a great deal of difference between the blenders. For those wanting to spend about $30, the Cuisinart Smart Stick 2-Speed Immersion Blender makes for a solid choice. However, the $80 price tag of the Nutri Ninja Pro Blender will deliver a whole lot more to your kitchen.
    Blending Power:
    • 200 Watts vs 900 Watts, this is a humongous difference. The Cuisinart offers only 200 Watts of blending power, this will impose severe limitations. Vigorous mixing is truly what the Cuisinart happens to do. If you want a blender with real power, the Nutri Ninja blends with 900 Watts of power. Differences in blending quality are light and day.
    Design:
    • Each blender is designed for a specific purpose. With the Nutri Ninja Pro Blender, you are going to be able to blend smoothies, bean dips, and nut butters. The Cuisinart Immersion Blender best lends itself to mixing things like soups, sauces, and easy to blend smoothies. For those wanting to make smoothies, the Nutri Ninja is truly designed to make smoothies, the Cuisnart Blender is not.
    Features:
    • Which blender lends to greater customization though? Each has its own tasks. The Nutri Ninja is truly impressive when making smoothies. Cuisinart offers a truly unique tool for the kitchen, it is mobile and allows for a great deal of creativity. Also, Cuisinart offers attachments for their hand blender which allow to whisk, grind, and chop.
    Overall:
    • The Nutri Ninja makes the better choice for those wanting to make smoothies. Traditional blenders are great, we all understand what they are for and what we can do with them. Immersion blenders are for a far more unique tool designed for precision blending. However, the ultimate power discrepancy between the Nutri Ninja and the Cuisinart Hand Blender leads me to favoring the Nutri Ninja.
    Pros:

    • Traditional. Carry out all your favorite tasks.
    • Compact. Small footprint on the countertop.
    • 900 Watts of Power. A whole lot of power in a small punch.
    • On the Go Blending. Blending cups designed to blend and go.
    Cons:
    • Price. $50 more than the Cuisinart.
    • No Soups/Mixing. Rigid blending role.
Cuisinartart Hand Blender Pros and Cons
    Pros:
    • Less than $30. One of most affordable blenders.
    • Great Starter Blender. Learn the basics of immersion blending.
    • Customization. Great variety of things that can be blended.
    Cons:
    • Low Power Output. Lacking in blending ability.
    • Do Not Expect Miracles. Best used as a powerful mixer.
    • Limited Life Span. Perhaps a few years.

    Nutri Ninja Pro vs Juicer

    Price:
    • The Nutri Ninja will cost you a bit less than $80, this is a steal of a deal. Juicers can range in price from as low as $20 to the top of the line costing more than $500. What you must consider is this, the quality of juicers varies greatly by price point. For less than $80, you can get a dependable and consistent blender in the form of the Nutri Ninja.
    Power:
    • Do not plan on finding a juicer less than $100 that can match the Nutri Ninja's power. To get a powerful juicer on the scale of the Nutri Ninja, you are going to need to pay more than $200. At 900 Watts of power, the Nutri Ninja does a fantastic job at pulverizing fruits and ice.
    Versatility:
    • With a juicer, all you will be able to do is juice. Blenders have so many more functions to them. With the Nutri Ninja, you will be able to makes smoothies of course. Along with that, you will be able to blend ice, homemade peanut butter, and bean dips like hummus. So much more can be done in the kitchen with the Nutri Ninja.
    Cleanup:
    • Juicers are notoriously difficult to clean. Find me a quick and easy juicer to clean, and I will rest contented. However, the ease of cleaning a small blender like the Nutri Ninja is such a convenience. In only a minute or two after finishing your blended drink, you will be able to clean the Nutri Ninja cup. Juicers can take five minutes or more to clean.
    Overall:
    • Personally, I prefer blenders to juicers due to their convenience. Even then though, I am inclined to say top of the line juicers may offer some features superior to that of the Nutri Ninja. At the end of the day, I would recommend buying a Nutri Ninja before ever buying a juicer.

    Nutri Ninja Pros and Cons

    Pros:

    • Power. Unleash 900 Watts of blending ability.
    • Price. Less than $80 to get your own new blender.
    • Possibilities. Make all sorts of dishes, especially smoothies.
    Cons:
    • Does Not Juice. Makes smoothies, but not juices.
    • Not Perfect on Leafy Greens. Juicers do a better job.
    • Hard Vegetables too Tough. Carrots and beets a no-go.
    Juicers Pros and Cons

    Pros:
    • Juices. Unique health benefits of juices.
    • Specialty Uses. Odds and ends of juicers.
    • Hard and Leafy Green Vegetables. Easy to process these things.
    Cons:
    • Variable Prices. Low end to high end difficult to gauge.
    • Difficult to Clean. So much more work compared to blenders.
    • No Bean Dips or Ice. Much more limited.

Nutri Ninja Pro vs Magic Bullet Blender

Nutri Ninja Pro vs Magic Bullet Blender
    Price:
    • Both blenders are near identical in price. If you go shopping at Amazon.com on a good day, you may find the Magic Bullet to be at $10 less than the Nutri Ninja. For such a close price point, the quality of the Nutri Ninja will deliver the best bang for your buck.
    Blending Power:
    • With the Magic Bullet, you will get a blender clocking in at 600 Watts of Power; whereas the Nutri Ninja will deliver 900 Watts of Power. This difference in power is not a trivial thing, the extra 300 Watts in the Nutri Ninja packs a big punch. Blending leafy greens is definitely a whole lot easier in the Nutri Ninja.
    Design:
    • I prefer the sleek design of the Nutri Ninja over the rounded edges of the Magic Bullet. One benefit of the Magic Bullet is customization, multiple colors in fun shades are available in the Magic Bullet, whereas the Nutri Ninja comes only in black and gray. Also, the blending blades of the Nutri Ninja trump the Magic Bullet.
    Features:
    • Plenty of extras come with the Magic Bullet Blender. With the Magic Bullet, you will get multiple blending cups and a milling blades to grind your own flour. Ninja offers only two blending cups, which is a tad bit lackluster as a milling blade is a nifty little thing to have in the kitchen.
    Overall:
    • When it comes to blenders, I focus on price and on power. Since the price of both blenders is near identical, it comes down to the quality of the blend. And at the end of the day, the Nutri Ninja offers a 300 Watt advantage over the Magic Bullet. With the Nutri Ninja, smoothies come out smoother and leafy greens can be realistically liquidized. While the Magic Bullet makes for a great starter blender, the Nutri Ninja edges it out.

    Nutri Ninja Pros and Cons:

    Pros:

    • 900 Watts of Power. Great amount of blending power.
    • Under $100. What a deal for the amount of power.
    • Sharp Design. Can make for a nice looking appliance.
    Cons:
    • Features. Two blending cups and a recipe book is all you get.
    • Slightly Higher Price. Pay a few bills more for the Ninja.
    • Black and Gray. If you do not enjoy these colors, no other options.

    Magic Bullet Pros and Cons:

    Pros:

    • Cute Little Design. Get in spectrum of colors.
    • Famous Name and Brand. Makes a great gift.
    • Milling Blades. Make your own flour for baking.
    Cons:
    • Less Blending Power. 300 Watts less.
    • Leafy Greens. Does not get the job done.

    Nutri Ninja FAQ

Nutri Ninja Blender vs Vitamix Blenders

    Price:
    • $400 separates these two blenders. That is no sum to sneeze at. On the one hand, the Nutri Ninja costs less than $80. If you are willing to spend an extra $400, you will find plenty of extra features and amenities. In my view, the Nutri Ninja certainly 'feels' inferior/cheap when compared to a Vitamix blender.
    Blending Power:
    • Both blenders actually are quite powerful. Of course the Vitamix is far more powerful, but the Nutri Ninja offers a big punch in a small package. With the Vitamix, you will get the most powerful blender able to blend up anything. The Nutri Ninja will not be able to do all the things a Vitamix can, but it is certainly strong enough to get through most blending needs.
    Design:
    • For anyone looking for a traditional blender, the Vitamix is supreme. The Vitamix blender feels durable and so strong it may as well be connected to the kitchen counter. Plus, it looks attractive and fetching on a kitchen counter. Truly, the Nutri Ninja is made of a cheaper plastic and looks a bit silly on a kitchen counter.
    Features:
    • With the Nutri Ninja's compact design, it should be obvious this is a blender made for limited purposes. If you only want a blender for making smoothies, great, the Nutri Ninja is for you. Any other blending jobs will be far harder to get done in the Nutri Ninja. If you want a blender that can handle any job, the Vitamix should be your number one choice.
    Overall:
    • Price matters. For anyone wanting the best blender money can buy, go with the Vitamix. In order to get that blender, you better be ready to pay over $400. Of course, not everyone can justify spending that much on a blender. Even $100 may be too much, that is what makes the Nutri Ninja so great. For less than $85, you can get a powerful and compact blender made for blending smoothies.
